Hello, I’m utsukushiioto, a new member of the team. We are excited to announce that FEETECH has become our sponsor and kindly provided us with motors and URT boards! In this post, I’d like to introduce FEETECH and share some of our recent progress.
About FEETECH
FEETECH is a Chinese manufacturer known for producing high‑quality servo motors and robot components. They offer a wide range of products used in robotics, RC vehicles, educational kits, and more. FEETECH’s servos are highly reliable, and we have been using them for some time now.
We Received STS3032 Servos and URT Boards!
When we reached out to FEETECH about sponsorship, they generously agreed. They provided us with ten STS3032 servo motors as well as URT boards.
The STS3032 is a compact yet high‑torque servo—extremely helpful from a mechanical design perspective. Each unit costs around 5,000 yen, so receiving this level of support means a lot to us. We’ll do our best to live up to their expectations.
Recent Progress
Now, let me share what we’ve been working on lately. During April and May, I (utsukushiioto) have mainly been working on the mechanical design, while rotarymars and K10‑K10 have been handling the circuit design.
Mechanical Design
Our team decided to use a camera for line tracing. This means we need to secure a clear field of view for the camera.
To achieve this, we must create a large opening in the first layer of the chassis, but balancing that with a low center of gravity is proving to be a challenge.
There’s a lot to think about, but if the chassis isn’t finished soon, it will delay the software team. So I’m working hard to complete it as quickly as possible.
Circuit Ddsign
rotarymars and K10‑K10 are working together on the circuit design. I’m not very knowledgeable about circuits, so I can’t comment too deeply, but compared to the previous version, the layout looks much cleaner. Most of the necessary components have arrived, so it’s almost time to place the final orders.
In Closing
We’ll continue working hard to build an even better robot, so please keep supporting us!
